Temporary Activity Visa (SUBCLASS 408)

408 Visa Lawyers in Melbourne

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Australian government has issued the subclass 408 temporary activity visa. The visa subclass 408 stream is intended to permit holders of certain temporary visas who are involved in or possess the relevant skills to carry out crucial work related to the supply of essential goods and/or services due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Flyworld Migration’s 408 COVID visa agents in Melbourne understand that applying for a temporary activity visa subclass 408 in Australia can be a very difficult process, especially considering the constant visa changes related to the pandemic.

Anyone holding a visa subclass 408 can stay in Australia for up to 12 months. However, Flyworld Migration can also assist you with going from being a holder of the 408 visa to permanent residency visa holder if you are eligible.

Get in touch with one of our certified 408 visa lawyers to learn more about the subclass 408 visa requirements. There are no migration agent fees for the 408 sponsor visa.

Australia Visa 408 Checklist

You must follow the below 408 visa conditions to be eligible to apply for a visa subclass 408:

  • Be in Australia when applying for this visa
  • Be unable to leave Australia due to regulations related to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Either be holding a visa that will expire in 28 days’ time or less, or was holding a temporary visa that expired no more than 28 days prior to lodging an application for a subclass 408 temporary activity visa
  • Be unable to apply for the same type of temporary visa you currently hold or held or any other type of temporary visa subclass besides the visa subclass 408
