Work Stream Permanent Visa is for workers who are sponsored by an employer to work in Australia.

Business or Investor Stream Permanent Visa is granted for businesses or investors.

An ABN (Australian Business Number) is needed and this can be done by applying for ABN and registering your business name.

Owning an ABN is necessary for starting a business legally in Australia. After securing an ABN and business name you can register a domain name which should be related to your business in someway. In order to avoid any potential legal implications, you should register for the correct taxes.

Through Australia’s Skill Select Migration Program, international students can apply for Permanent Residency. It’s an online service where intending migrants can lodge an online EOI (Expression of Interest). After lodging your EOI, your Australian employer will need to be approved to sponsor your skilled visa application.

For international students, Australia provides a special health insurance coverage called OSCH (Overseas Student Health Cover).

An appropriate visa is required either for permanent or temporary living and working in Australia.

Skilled Migration Visa or Nominated/Sponsored Work Visa is needed for permanent or temporary living and working. A Skilled Migration Visa is for foreign skilled workers who have skills needed by the Australian labour market and who meet the other required criteria.

Nominated/Sponsored Visas are designed for those who meet other required criteria and are sponsored or nominated by a recognised employer or a Territory or State Government Agency.

Sponsored Visas are based on sponsorship by an employer i.e., you must be sponsored by an approved business in Australia. For a  sponsored visa, you can submit an application after your employer has lodged an application to nominate or sponsor you. You can then lodge an online application mentioning the nomination TRN (Transaction Reference Number) or Application ID confirmed by your employer in Australia.
