485 Visa extension

From January 2021, students who studied in major regional centers and other designated regional areas are eligible to apply for an extension of their current 485 visa extension eligibility.

If you have studied anywhere other than major cities, you can obtain an extension for one year and if you have studied in regional centers you can extend your stay for two years. In order to obtain this visa, you need to be living, working or studying in relevant region for two years prior to making an application. Once you get the visa, you will still have to meet the same conditions.
